THE MAKEUP TREND THAT SUITS EVERYONE- EVERYWHERE!

Looking for a makeup trend that will make you ready for any occasion? Luckily such a thing does exist and is foolproof to make any makeup virgin or pro look absolutely radiant. I’m talking about the modern Marilyn Monroe makeup trend in which we will take some good advice from the 1950’s and mix it together with our modern looks of the 21st century.
SKIN
You should always have a flawless skin, but this does not mean that you should pile on tons of foundation and compact powder just to get the job done. Take your time and study your face and skin. All we really need to do is take inspiration from the parts where the hue and texture is good and work with the rest to look similar. Start off with an illuminant color evening cream. Elizabeth Arden and MAC have some great products for just that. Then go over with a light foundation to those areas that need more attention, or even better use a mineral foundation such as I.D. Bare Minerals or Jane Iredale. Use a light concealer at the inner corner of your eye and down to where your cheek bones start. Finish up with a powder of your choice and pinky or peachy cheeks.
EYES
Use a light and shiny base from your eyelashes and up to your eyebrows. Use the same shadow in your inner eye corner to really open up the eyes. Get a taupe colored (brown with subtle purple) eye shadow and place high in your global and let it end in a cat eye shape. Remember that this shape should never be strong or have any hard edges. Use the same color softly under the eyes to create wholeness. Now it’s time for the liquid eye liner. Make sure that you are comfortable with the product you use. If you feel like you’re not getting it right, it’s probably because the product is not for you. You can use liquid, cream or pencil eyeliner to create the eyeliner shape. Use mascara as desired.
LIPS
Marilyn Monroe would always use red lipstick, and it is truly an amazing look more women should dare to use, but it can sometimes look a little bit too historic in my eyes, so I would recommend using a lip gloss in the color of your choice to this look. A pinky color works really well, but the red tone is of course also a great option.
